The first league match of the season against a well drilled team with 4 subs was never going to be easy, we started well with a solid defence and excellent goal keeping with Olivia saving a penalty keeping us level by half time.
The second half started well but the loss of Lola and Katie from defence had a serious impact, upfront we had a few shots going wide only by a couple of inches, for me there wasn’t enough of those shots on target today.
Some silly mistakes and lack of concentration cost us the first goal 0-1 to Mosley.
The girls work rate never slowed down today they battled on but some swift one twos from Mosley opened up our defence and slotted one home making our chances of a win or draw even smaller 0-2 to Mosley. I cannot fault our goal keepers today they were both fantastic this is why we chose Katie as our POM and Olivia for captain next week
Their work rate in and out of the goal is amazing, we are lucky to have the choice of a second keeper of the same standards.
The better team won today, plenty of things to work on in training.
