Haslingden Sharks U10’s v St Annes U10's
Haslingden faced tough opposition
Having lost the away leg Haslingden knew they faced a tough opposition. Yet again the manager had a full team to choose from. The line-up was Eve in goal, Poppy and Phoebe in defence, Fern, Siena and Dixie in Midfield and Emily up front. With Alex, Izzy, Zoe & Daisy all itching to get on to the pitch. Straight from the kick off Haslingden was on the defensive and at time struggled to cope with the attacking St Annes. The defence was standing strong and the goal keeping was excellent, with Eve saving some good shots. As per the norm, after 12 and half minutes 4 players came off and four went on. Haslingden kept strong but in the last minute of the first half St Annes opened up the score with a tap in from short range. The second half Haslingden came out strong and had a number of opportunities to score but each time they hit the keeper. St Annes continued to press and where awarded going on to score again. Haslingden battled throughout and played some good passing football, still a lot to come from this team.
