Walshaw u16 3 v 3 Haslingden u16

It was a solid team performance today with some good performances all round.
It was strange playing on a 9v9 pitch and I think that didn't help us at all. We are used to having more space to play in and run into. There were some robust challenges going in today so im sure there must be a few bruises around. The girls are definitely getting more confident with each other and also in themselves.
What really pleased me today though was the fact that we went 2 goals down and responded with 2 really well worked goals with Alannah and Holly adding to the 3 each that they scored last week, that took us into half time level.
An opportunistic shot from Hannah put us into the lead and looked like getting us our 2nd win. Unfortunately Walshaw got lucky with a goal late on to bring the scores level again. It was really unfortunate as Rebekah was being an outstanding stand in whilst Amani recovers (its somebody else's turn if needed next week).
